TVLine: Season 5 will introduce the recurring role of a cocksure/reckless ex-Marine turned vigilante. Showrunner Wendy Mericle states that the season 5 flashbacks will likely reveal how Ollie got the Bratva tattoo and learned to speak Russian.



Supergirl, arrow, and The Flash Crossover planned (Date: 19 May 2016)


There are plans for DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl to cross over with The Flash and Arrow next season, CW chief Mark Pedowitz told reporters during a conference call this morning ahead of The CW's upfront presentation in New York.

Saying that he has faith The CW's annual superhero crossover event will be “the biggest one ever,” Pedowitz declined to provide any specific details.

It seems likely, based on past history, that the planned crossover will take place in December, prior to the shows' midseason finales.



Willa Holland Calls Out WB for shutting down Arrow’s Suicide Squad plans (Date: 30 May 2016)


"Arrow" star Willa Holland believes the DC Cinematic Universe could learn a lesson from Marvel. During an interview with The Mirror, she expressed her frustration with the disconnect between DC's films and television series, why the Suicide Squad was axed from the show and more.

"We were about season two when they started telling us we had to start basically killing off the Suicide Squad that we were starting to build on our own," Holland recalled. "We were actually trying to build that on our own on the show, and I guess once DC found out they were going to be doing their own movie of it, we had to ax all of the characters before we even got to show them, which was a little annoying at first.”





‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’: Ciara Renee to Depart (Date: 19 May 2016)

From Deadline: According to Marc Guggenheim, when they were going through the list of characters they could bring back for season 2, bringing back Hawkman and Hawkgirl felt forced; after all, the idea behind Legends was to have a rotating team of characters.

‘The Flash’ Lands ‘Dope’ Helmer Rick Famuyiwa; He Will Direct Ezra Miller as Fastest Man Alive  (Date: 2 June  2016)

Warner Bros announced that Rick Famuyiwa, director of the independent film Dope and of the HBO film Confirmation, will direct The Flash feature film starring Ezra Miller and written by Seth Grahame-Smith. The film is set to be released March 16, 2018
