- TVLine has learned exclusively that the actress is joining Arrow in a pivotal recurring role. According to sources, McNamara will appear during the first half of Season 7 as Maya, a scrappy street fighter and thief from Star City. The initial — and unofficial — casting notice for the character likened the character to “Buffy the Superhero Slayer.”

- The CW has cast Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch to play the Daily Planet ace reporter in this December’s three-show crossover between Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow. Previously, Tulloch played Juliette Silverton/Eve across all six seasons of Grimm. Her past credits also include Portlandia, The West Wing, The Artist, Parkland, Concussion and more.

- Arrowverse Casting Confirms Gotham City as Crossover Location

- Lost and Justified veteran Jeremy Davies will play Dr. John Deegan, a doctor at the notorious Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane, whose machinations draw Green Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl to Gotham. Although Gotham, the traditional stomping grounds of Batman, has been referenced on Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl, this will be the first time it’s actually shown on the Arrowverse dramas. Fans are still left to wonder whether this is the Gotham on Earth One, home of Green Arrow and The Flash, or Earth-38, inhabited by Supergirl. While the introduction in the crossover of Batwoman, played by Ruby Rose, led to speculation that Gotham might finally make its debut — the city is even referenced in the character description — this is the first confirmation.

- The CW has just cast Cassandra Jean Amell (yes, the wife of Arrow star Stephen) in the role of Nora Fries. If that name sounds familiar to you, it's because Nora is the wife of Victor Fries, also known as the Batman villain Mister Freeze. No details were provided as to whether Amell's version of the character will be alive and well or in cryostasis at the time of her introduction. The customary character description was not provided, either, leaving the nature of her role (and presumably her husband's) a mystery.

- Arrowverse Crossover Casts The Monitor, Hints Elseworlds Will
Be a Crisis (Date: 26 Sept 2018)
- The CW announced Designated Survivor star LaMonica Garrett has been cast as Mar Novu, “an extraterrestrial being of infinite power known as the Monitor,” in the Arrowverse’s upcoming Elseworlds crossover. In the comics, the Monitor was essential to Crisis on Infinite Earths. Created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez in 1982’s The New Teen Titans #21, the character was established to set up the events of Crisis. He is billions of years old, born as the living embodiment of the universe’s positive matter; as such, he is the natural enemy of the Anti-Monitor, a being of anti-matter. The highly-anticipated crossover will air over three nights, starting on Sunday, Dec. 9 through Tuesday, Dec. 11.

- The big Arrowverse crossover can't get here soon enough, and a new behind the scenes photo from Stephen Amell reveals he might be getting a new costume for it. The new photo shows Amell in the makeup chair, but he is sporting some bright green gel on his chest, neck, and face. It seems he is getting fitted for a mold, so now the question is what the new mask and suit will look like. He posted it with the caption "Officially started work on the crossover today."

- The trailer starts off with John Constantine (Matt Ryan) telling White Canary (Caity Lotz) to get ready for a new fight because “the darkness… it’s rising,” which transitions into shots of what appear to be the Salem witch trials. The trailer then reveals that the team’s composition will be changing. There’s also fan-favorite Time Bureau Agent Gary Green (Adam Tsekhman) naked and claiming he’s an “intern Legend,” a fairy godmother and a unicorn shooting a rainbow mist from its horn.

- Dominic Purcell Defends 'Legends of Tomorrow' as Not Being the
Joke of the Arrowverse (Date: 22 Sept 2018)
- Purcell, who plays Mick Rory/Heatwave on the series which will debut its fourth season next month, took to Instagram on Saturday, sharing why he's proud to be part of Legends as well as why he's no longer accepting the show being treated like a "joke".
- "First season of @cw_legendsoftomorrow sucked," Purcell wrote. "We had to change it drastically. The writers, the creative team changed its course with a genius master stroke. Let's have fun with it!!!! ....Now we have a show that embraces the absurdity of the farce and the brilliant nature of its theme."
